Memorable Splashes at Tengumaratha

On Sun, the 12th of Feb, we got a handsome opportunity to visit a place concealed in the Sathyamangalam forests .
Jus have a look at the anticipations , one of our faculty told us the following were available at the spot.
* White Water Rafting
* Elephants & Bisons
* Fish Fry & Hot Bajji to munchchchch...
* Presence of a river to have bath

Such a spot & we never noticed it, thought we !

The entire trip was as a part of the Alumni Meet 2006 conducted by our department, the DOMCA Regiment ! Saturday was the meet (with colorful culturals and other events) followed by the trip on Sunday.

We started at 8 in the morn and reached Tengumaratha by 11. The journey on the way was majorly in the forest on worn out,muddy roads and our driver had a tough time maneuvouring the bus through. Tengumaratha attracted us by its enormous water resource .
There was a river flowing down and we instantly entered its waters . Then began a game that never seemed to end , splashing and playing in water !
We found a raft there and climbed on to it crossed the river, though it was shallow and explored the other side of it.
Refreshment beckoned us after some time, we had "hot-Bajji's" made at the river bank.
Then we got into the water again until it was time for lunch. Lunch was really relishing , partly coz we were deadly worn out and also coz it indeed tasted good !
At 5, we departed from the spot and on the way were lucky enough to spot few elephants, deers and peacocks . .

This ended up as another exciting trip after the Porthimund !
