Beagle-ing again !

Its quite a long time since I last had a feel of Hacking BEAGLE , with my NOSIP getting over.
Rarely found time to pull the work on ! (Devilish Semester-5 literally snarling at us)
Thought its time to begin again, working on some real core stuff of it.
My Mentor at Novell, Veerpuram Varadhan is infact one man who really loves hacking Beagle.
Assistance from him and few othes on Dashboard will surely help ..

Few events stand out distinct and memorable in my NOSIP that indeed drive into me the essence of hacking into OpenSource.

Outline of our Project NOSIP

To kick off required tremendous temperament, with the entirely new kind of Project I had taken. NLD(Novell Linux Desktop) was my OS and Building Beagle, Testing Filters were some terms entirely strange to me.
As outlined in the Project schedule, i struggled right through the first month installing the pre-requisites for Beagle and Building Beagle.
The first sight of BEST (Front-end GUI tool for Beagle) appearing on the System-Tray made a chill run into my nerves , marking the first doorstep towards our Project.
That was a day unforgettable for me.

Then i had to do the basic examination of our Search-Tool and report bugs it had.
I came in touch with Varadhan who was assigned my Mentor.
He gave me a basic html-document to parse through and that gave me a feel of the working of Beagle. Beagle Discussions on Nosip Channel

Then i got into the hacking part of the stuff studying the Beagle-Filters and fixing few of them.
Thanks to jess, our student-coordinator for NOSIP, for her endeavour in this.
She mailed us the certificates at the end of my project. My Work

It was a wonderful experience to have been a part of Beagle-Team ...
